Draft for legal review. This text describes how Refynd is built. It is not final and must be reviewed by a lawyer, with the operating entity, address and governing law filled in, before launch.
Terms of use
Last updated 30 October 2026
1. Using Refynd
Refynd lets you save links to videos and find them later. By using the app you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies. You must be at least 13 years old.
2. Your account
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep access to that email secure; anyone who can read it can sign in to your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think your account has been misused.
3. Your content
Your notes, tags and folders belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Refynd for you. Videos remain the property of their creators and platforms; Refynd stores links and thumbnails for your personal reference and opens videos in their original apps.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Refynd to break the law, infringe others' rights, store links to illegal material, attempt to access other people's accounts, probe or overload our systems, or resell the service. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
5. Free plan and Refynd Unlimited
- The free plan includes up to 100 saved videos and may show opt-in sponsored offers.
- Refynd Unlimited is an auto-renewing monthly subscription priced at US$0.99 or the local equivalent shown in the App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
- If Unlimited ends, nothing is deleted; you can search everything but can't add more than the free limit.
- We will give notice in the app before changing the price, and Apple will ask for your consent where required.
6. Availability
We work to keep Refynd running, but it is provided as is. Videos may be removed by their creators or platforms at any time, and we can't guarantee that every link or detail stays available.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law, including the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Ending
You can stop using Refynd and delete your account at any time. We may end the service with reasonable notice and will give you a way to export your library first.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms and will tell you in the app before material changes take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
